I finished editing Hell, Next Exit yesterday, and sent it off to my sister for a beta read. She'll give me her usual brutal thoughts on what I've written, and I value her opinion greatly. I'll cry about it for a few minutes, then get going on any revisions she suggests.
I started writing that story in 2012, I think. It's been a long time coming, but I've never been in a hurry to publish. I wonder why I'm so geared up for it now. Maybe, having Falling in Love with Crazy out on Amazon has sparked my publishing fire. We'll see.
Right now, I'm working on Hell, Burning. It's the second book in the Hell Series, and it introduces new characters like Abel: Curt's love interest, and Major Ryan from the compound. The story of the virus is expanded, and things get a little dicey for everyone in Hell.
We also lose some beloved characters in this second book. I won't say who, but it's going to be heartbreaking. My apologies to anyone who fell in love with these characters who are going to die, but that's how the story is going. The characters tell the story, I just write it down.
